Introduction
The Laboratory of Molecular Biology at Hanyang University College of Pharmacy was established on March 2012 as Dr. Chongsuk Ryou (P.I.) joined the Department. The Prion Research Laboratory established by Dr. Ryou in 2005 at the University of Kentucky has moved into the brand-new College of Pharmacy Building at the HYU ERICA campus located in Ansan, Korea.
The Laborratory of Molecular Biology continues research on prion and prion diseases and runs two facilities: one in the main building and another int the adjacent Experimental Animal Care Building. Both facilities are fully equipped for prion research.
Prior to trans-Pacific moving, the Laboratory had been a home form 17 individuals, including Postdocs, Ph.D.students, Master studuents, Undergrad students and other research scientists. Currently, researchers and graduate students in the Laboratory are putting team effort to investigate diverse research topics in the field. Our team is carring out several research projects with recent funding from public and private sectors.
